A strong foundation for healthy teeth begins in childhood. By learning good oral hygiene habits and coming in for regular exams to detect any signs of tooth decay, your child will have the tools for a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. During your child’s visit with our dentist, we will gently clean your child’s teeth and carefully examine their mouth and teeth for any signs of decay or gum disease. Your child will be taught proper hygiene methods to use at home. Dr. Beth C. Dunsmoor may recommend a fluoride treatment, depending on their regular exposure to fluoride. Dental sealants may also be used if we feel that your child’s teeth require this additional protective coating to prevent decay.
